Information about the purposes and objectives of the Spanish Committee on Automatic Control.
The Spanish Committee on Automatic Control (CEA) is a Spanish scientific association that promotes the development, research, and university teaching of Automatic Control, encompassing aspects such as Automatic Control, control, robotics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. It was founded in 1968 and brings together researchers, professors, and professionals in the field at a national level. Since 1977, the committee has held the annual Automatic Control Conference, gathering researchers and industry experts to present the latest advances in Automatic Control, and it publishes the Ibero-American Journal of Automatic Control and Industrial Informatics (RIAI), which has been published in Spanish since 2004 and serves as a bridge for scientific exchange with the Ibero-American community.
This association is open to all individuals and institutions interested in the theoretical and practical aspects of Automatic Control, process control, and all new technologies that enable the implementation of modern automatic control systems, including sensors, actuators, and control elements.
CEA has an executive body, the 'Board of Directors,' which is renewed in halves every two years. The assembly body (General Assembly) is responsible for electing the representatives of the Board of Directors in an extraordinary meeting, with the participation of all members.
Objectives

Promote the study, application, and improvement of Automatic Control techniques.
Promote collaboration and coordination of Spanish activities in the field.
Encourage collaboration among its members.
Promote cooperation between universities and industry in Automatic Control activities.
Act as a communication channel between different administrations and the community it represents on relevant issues.
Organize and conduct courses, conferences, congresses, study meetings, working committees, and standards development.
Publish and disseminate publications, standards, reports, and monographs.
Encourage the creation of laboratories and teaching centers and the dissemination of Automatic Control techniques.
Other related or complementary objectives.
Promote international relations, particularly with IFAC and IEEE.
